I am pleased to say that we now have an ARG in West Glamorgan.

There has been a disturbing amount of habitat destruction locally, chiefly due to ignorance.  We hope to reduce these instances.

We have a website which is currently under construction, but the home page is live as is the contact page for now.

http://www.wgarg.co.uk/index.html

So if you live in West Glamorgan and want to get involved, please feel free to contact us.

We look forward to linking in and assisting with other ARGs in South Wales.

Gemma, is it ok with you if we put a link to RAUK up on our website?

Don't live in West Glamorgan, but used to study at Swansea. I did my MSc project on great crested newts and found a nice metapopulation in the Rhossilli area on Gower. Would be interested to know how it's doing if you have anyone in that area.

I`ll add it to the list of things to do Gemma.

Thanks Tim.    We have a few priorities to sort out first, after which we can devote some time to the web site.

That's the one! There's some management recommendations in the back so maybe something for some practical tasks?

Will be speaking to the local authority that "looks after" that area in the coming week.
